todays the match of meteor vs L ji hua..
date : 14/5/2005
day : saturday
time : 11am
venue : colour court
it didnt really start off very nicely.. right at the very beginning, we had L ji hua not being on time.. being short of one team mate.. whereas meteor was well prepared and ready and eager to start the match.. unfortunately i am the middle man, and messages for each party was directed not to each other, but to me instead.. sort of felt like being sandwiched already.. and yet both party werent exactly very happy about each other.. meteor was unhappy that L ji hua was late, about the number of players (L ji hua wanted to start off with four players) and about them dragging the time having warm-ups when they are already late.. -no comments- i know u all were unhappy.. but u didnt have to voice it to me right? it jux makes me feel like its all my fault.. that all along it was my idea to arrange match for u people.. surprisingly, the truth is that both party contacted me out of ur own accord.. and i was jux being nice by arranging things for u all and helping to pass the messages.. yet now it seems like its all my fault that there isnt a referee around and that L ji hua has no sense of punctuality.. haix. i dun think thats being fair to me right? both sides are my friend, cant expect me to tell them off right? hais.. thats jux a piece of my mind.. voicing it out now so that i'll feel less compressed within.. no hard feelings for anyone reading this k..
and then, the game started, with one of kaiwen's friend playing for L ji hua, so that there is an equal number of players in each team.. no doubt it was an exciting game.. with each team's score breathing up each others neck.. their score was sort of on par, with meteor leading by several points into the first quarter.. honestly, it was one of the best match i've ever seen.. with very few fouls and fair plays.. it was actually quite heart-warming to see them play with respect and skills considering that there's no referee around.. most of the resentfulness in me had disappeared by the end of the match.. the match ended with the score of 39-51, L ji hua won..
to L ji hua : congrats! u all did well.. keep it up~
to meteor : u guys did well too! put up a great fight.. sometimes the importance lies within the process and not the results~ =)
well done guys.. i'm proud of u all for having a good game.. bball matches should be like this! and not like the one with taman jurong csc, where violence, foul games and dirty moves are put into action.. ResPecT~! that shall be the spirit to playing bball! => double cheers!!
